The Knights Tale Paragraph

If the genre is chivalric romance then it has to have chivalric knights and romance. The knights Palamon and Arcite both loved Emily with all their hearts, there is a joust in the ending to marry her. These reasons as to why this is a chivalric romance are when Palamon and Arcite are challenged to duel to "win" Emily is because normal knights did not joust and the lances they used were meant to break on impact, and when Arcite escapes Palamon does not tell anyone that he is gone. At the end of the joust Palamon gets unhorsed, as soon as he is confirmed the loser of the joust Arcite gets struck by lightning, you can tell this is almost a gods gift to Palamon as he was more chivalric than Arcite.
In the end you can tell The Knights Tale is a chivalric romance because Palamon and Arcite (knights) both love Emily.
