SCIENCE-FICTION

SAS 1, Ryan, Hayle

Every night Ryan was sent back to the SAS headquarters for extra training and mission chances. He arrived at the headquarters at exactly 00:00, and at 00:12, the thirty minute alarm was given.
The 30 minute team quickly stocked their weapons, equipped a kevlar vest, took a thousand rounds to put in their vests. On the board it read “COVERT OP UK”. Under, it said "Terrorist organisation takeover, Germany, Frankfurt.”. He knew it was a civvies job now, and on autopilot he put on faded jeans, a grey t-shirt, boots, and his black parker. Each man was stocked and dressed within five minutes. The chinooks were fuelled within ten minutes. The 30 minute team was in place and lectured by twenty minutes, and by the time thirty minutes had passed, they had already left the UK. This was a good start, as the 30 minute team had to be ready by 30 minutes, but in this time they could be at the scene by 45 minutes.

~FRANKFURT~

Ryan took out his Duel TG’s (Glock 20 with rounds of titanium). His squad of four jumped out of the chinook in a charcoal Range Rover Sport, and at one hundred feet they secured the chute and pulled the cord. They came down safely, and drove for five minutes to the scene.

“Barry, shoot now!” Barry shot his M200 Intervention at the closest six x-rays. All six came down within a split second of the round being fired.

“Bail… Now!” All four jumped out of the SUV, rolled and opened fire on all x-rays. Ryan got a
double collateral on his first shot on both weapons. Blake and Tae readied their push dirks, the twins specialised in the

GENRE PARAGRAPHS

The Nuns Priest's Tale Paragraph

A fable is short story with a moral at the end and includes (mostly) talking animals. The Nuns Priest's Tale is a good example of a fable in the Canterbury Tales. Sir Russel Fox flatters Chaunticleer (cockerel) making a distraction so he can be eaten by Sir Russel. Chaunticleer flatters Sir Russel into shouting out that he has captured Chaunticleer.  The moral at the end of the tale is that, "Flattery can get you into trouble," and to Chaunticleer he says "so it's best to keep your mouth shut" and with that they all bow and walk offstage, within this tale are talking animals such as, Pertelote (Chaunticleer's lover), Chaunticleer and Sir Russel Fox. It is a shorter story than all of the other scripts in the Canterbury Tales. But from the start we know this is a fable because of the talking animals and the moral.

The Wife of Bath's Tale Paragraph
A folk tale is a story that has to sound realistic, with some make-believe elements. The Wife of Bath's Tale is a good example of a folk tale.  The tale begins with Sir Codsbrain a character who tries to "chat up" Amelia, a princess and is sentenced to death by Guinevere (the queen), later on he is excused by the queen and has to find the answer to the question "What do women most desire?" He then leaves and along his journey to Camelot he hears "beautiful music" and also learns the answer from an old lady (mask). The reasons why this is a folk tale is because of the bawdy song at the beginning and real people (queen, king etc). It is also very realistic, and could be an altered real story. Often in history real stories are exaggerated when passed down by mouth through generations. But from the beginning we know this is a folk tale because of the realistic elements.

GENRE PARAGRAPHS

The Knights Tale Paragraph

If the genre is chivalric romance, it usually has chivalric knights and romance. The knights tale is an accurate example of what chivalric romance is.  Two knights Palamon and Arcite both love Emily with all their hearts and there is a joust at the end to determine who will marry her.  One reason as to why this is the chivalric romance is ,  when Palamon and Arcite duel to "win" Emily, it is unusual because normal knights did not joust and the lances  used were meant to break on impact, also when Arcite escapes Palamon does not tell anyone he has gone. At the end of the joust Palamon gets unhorsed, and as soon as he is announced loser of the joust competition Arcite is struck by lightning, You can interpret this as gods gift to Palamon as he was, in the end, more chivalric than Arcite.
The Knights Tale is a chivalric romance because Palamon and Arcite (knights) both love Emily.

The Pardoners Tale Paragraph

If the script is a morality tale it has a moral, it does not have talking animals and is not usually a short story. The Pardoners Tale is a good example of this. It is a tale about three Thugs who find gold under a tree instead of death as an old man has told them. The gold is really the personification of death, as within the tale it kills all of them in the end. This is a morality tale as the moral at the end is, "If you're looking for death, you will be sure to find him." This relates to how the thugs are looking for death, but they find an "innocent" bag of gold that eventually turns them all crazy, Dick and Harry turn on Tom and Tom turns against Dick and Harry. In the end, Dick and Harry kill Tom by stabbing him and Tom kills them both with poison. At the end the line " Dick and Harry raise Their daggers behind each other's backs ready to stab each other" but Tom has already laced the wine with poison and it kills them before they stab each other. The main reason to why this is a morality tale because of the moral at the end.

-=@~Bonus~@=-

This story works like clockwork because, the story that Fritz tells is happens precisely and exactly just as we know that a clocks hours happen precisely and in a set order, for example we don't expect six o'clock to immediately follow after one o'clock, and it doesn't work like clockwork because the catalyst, Dr. Kalmenius carried on the rest of the story that was unfinished. I think the author chose to do this because you can build drama believing something dreadful is going to happen, because Fritz has told us it will happen.

-=@~Super Bonus~@=-

No it's not like a fairy tale because the characters change a lot.
The author makes this book memorable because he tells a story in a story, and also the book has two names.
